Heads up on the new laws- We now have a small business Health Insurance Tax Credit that is in effect. Businesses with less than 26 full time employess may qualify for up to a 35% tax credit on health insurance premiums paid for the employees. The condensed version of the new law is only 16 pages, and there are a lot of definitions and exclusions that have to be considered. The most important one is that the credit phases out when average wages exceed $25,000. For more details, go to the NEWSLETTER section..
